VELTOP RECUMBENT FIXATION 1

The VELTOP RECUMBENT Fixation 1
consists of the following parts (see details in "SPARE PARTS" part):
1 two-part windscreen
1 front fixing system of 2 plates for the tube support of derailleur
1 black link piece with 2 fixing parts and 2 spacers 16-22mm
1 water-resistant canopy rolled upon a tube and stored in a bag
2 fiberglass arches (4 parts)
2 transparent side protections with their arches + 1 storage bag
1 luggage carrier adaptation
1 Alan key
+ the instructions of installment

All metal pieces and screws are of aluminium or stainless steel.
The windscreen is of polycarbonate which guarantees a strong shock resistance.

The hood is of polyester with a water-resistant treatment.
Choice of different colours:
Yellow                   with black edges
Blue                      with black edges
Turkish Blue          with black edges
Grey                     with black edges
Black                    with grey edges

All hoods are equipped with reflection strips in the back and Velcros for the communication support (option).

INSTALLMENT :
The windscreen is placed in the 2 fixing parts which are on the link piece and connected to the fixing system by plates in the front.
These 2 plates are to be fixed around the support of derailleur (ex: Catrike, Greenspeed,…)

In the back, the support of the canopy is placed on the adaptation of the luggage carrier. (height and lenght adjustable).
The angle of the tube of the carrier adaptation can equally be modified in order to approch or move away the canopy according to the size of the cyclist.
The metallic framework on top of the windscreen houses the arches which support the canopy.

The VELTOP RECUMBENT FIX.1 can be installed on all recumbent models equipped with a luggage carrier and with a tube support of derailleur.

WAYS OF USING:
The VELTOP RECUMBENT Fix. 1 can be used in 4 different figures :
Canopy spread out with side protections down
Canopy spread out without  side protections
Windscreen only (complete)
Windscreen only (half low)

The gliding system of the windscreen allows to keep it closed or to open a view-window of 10 cm maximum in its middle.
The user can regulate the air-flux to gain a better visibility in case of frost, snow etc…

ADVICES:
Clean regularely the windscreen with some humid cotton pads to avoid scratching and a few drops of a soft cleaning liquid to maintain a good visibility and to enhance the dripping of the rain. Choose the VELTOP layout according to the weather conditions and draw back the canopy by strong wind.
